This is the view of Igloolik through the inuksuk (pronounced "ee-nook-shook") atop the hillside overlooking the town. The green and yellow building at the far right is Ataguttaaluk High School, where my brother teaches. In front of the school is a light blue house (the principal's home) and in front of that is a green house, which is my brother's home. Wouldn't it be nice to live that close to work?

The strange round white building straight up from my brother's house is the Igloolik Research Centre, which is a government facility that supports scientific research, traditional knowledge, oral history materials and environmental monitoring programs.
